Why Bodhi Counsel

What it means to work with a focused pension practice.

General legal firms handle pension matters. We specialise in them. That distinction shapes everything — from the first conversation to the final report.

Six reasons clients choose Bodhi Counsel

Pension-only focus

Our practice handles one area of law. That means deeper familiarity with fund procedures and dispute channels than a generalist offers.

Plain-language communication

Official documents are explained in straightforward terms. Nothing progresses until the client has understood the situation.

One advisor, one file

The same person leads your matter from start to finish. No handovers, no repetition of background information.

Fixed-scope fees

Each service has a stated fee agreed in writing before work begins. No billable-hour surprises mid-matter.

Regular status updates

Clients are not left to wonder. We communicate at each meaningful stage, even when waiting for a third-party response.

Written record of all findings

Every review produces a document the client can keep and refer back to. It forms part of the file if the matter develops further.

Professional Expertise

Years spent in this specific area of law

The team at Bodhi Counsel has been working on pension matters since 2011. That is fourteen years of handling eligibility questions, fund disputes, and formal appeal proceedings within the Thai legal framework.

That experience translates into an understanding of how different funds operate, which arguments tend to hold up in appeal, and what documentation is likely to be required at each stage — knowledge that only accumulates through direct work.

What this means for you

We recognise common errors in fund calculations without needing to research them from scratch

We know the relevant procedural timelines for SSO, GPF, and private provident fund disputes

We have existing familiarity with the documentation formats different institutions use

We can assess the realistic range of outcomes early in a matter, based on comparable cases

How our client service works

First meeting scheduled to suit your availability — mornings, afternoons, or arranged by phone

All documents explained before any decision is requested

Thai and English both spoken fluently across the team

Written summary after every meeting, so nothing is left uncertain

Client Service

The service is built around older clients and complex situations

Many pension matters involve clients who are approaching or in retirement — a stage where clear information and steady support matter as much as legal competence. We arrange our work accordingly: meetings at a comfortable pace, explanations that do not assume legal background, and follow-ups that keep the process visible.

Value & Pricing

Fees stated upfront, scope agreed before work begins

Pension matters should not carry the additional uncertainty of unpredictable costs. Each of our three services carries a fixed fee, set down in the engagement letter before any work begins.

Pension Eligibility Review ฿4,200
Pension Adjustment Support ฿9,800
Full Dispute Representation ฿17,500

What is included

Each fee covers the full defined scope — meetings, document preparation, correspondence, and written output. There are no additional charges for standard communication or file administration within the agreed scope.

If a matter expands beyond the original scope, we discuss the change and agree on any revised fee before proceeding. Nothing is added to the bill without your knowledge.

How We Compare

Specialist practice vs. general approach

Typical general firm

Pension matters handled alongside unrelated case types

Hourly billing with final costs difficult to estimate

Advisors may change during a matter

Communication can be formal and infrequent

Written output not always standard practice

Fund-specific procedural knowledge built from scratch

Bodhi Counsel

Exclusively pension matters — full attention on one area

Fixed fee agreed before work begins, in writing

One named advisor leads the matter throughout

Regular updates at each meaningful stage

Written summary produced at the end of every review

14 years of direct experience with Thai pension funds

What Sets Us Apart

Features you will not find everywhere

Silom Road location, central Bangkok

Our offices are accessible by BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Silom — straightforward to reach for clients across Bangkok and the surrounding area, without the cost or time of travelling to outlying districts.

Full bilingual service in Thai and English

All meetings, correspondence, and written summaries are available in both languages. Clients with mixed-language documentation — common when employment records span different employers — can present everything without translation.

Structured three-tier service model

The three services — Review, Support, and Representation — are designed so that a client can start with the level appropriate to their situation and move to the next if the matter develops, without duplication of cost or effort.

Written closing reports as standard

Full Dispute Representation concludes with a written closing report covering the proceedings, outcome, and any practical steps that follow. This is not standard practice at all firms — we include it as a matter of course.
